Living Assistance Services is celebrating almost two decades of outstanding home care service for seniors and their families and, with this, comes the expertise, experience and wisdom gained during these years. LAS is a small agency because we want be small so that our seniors and their families enjoy warm, caring relationships with our office staff, service coordinators and caregivers. The choice of a care giver and companion is paramount, a key to success. First, we match up to three potential companions with the senior and his/her situation. Then, we introduce caregivers so that each one might be interviewed with a view toward finding the best fit. This process ensures that the senior and/or the family has ownership of the selected caregiver. This choice, then, is the genesis of a much more personal relationship between the two persons. Many of our seniors and caregivers remain together not for days or weeks but for months and years. LAS’ maintains consistent, personal and always available communication; open 24/7. We stress personalized service from health/care assessments, to care planning, to caregiver services. Because Living Assistance Services is Canadian owned, we can provide clients with a high degree of comfort knowing that we understand the health care system; thus, we can give the best advice available.
